Down in Flames was the newest song Steve wrote for the EP project. Stacy, Francis and Steve tweaked the lyrics to tell a story that speaks of the damnation & salvation experienced in everyday life, meanwhile advocating acceptance, “we can’t help the way we are, you know we’re all the same”. The story was set in Mexico and has a latin feel, complete with Jeremy’s salsa/mariachi influenced horarrangement, due in part to our listening to and networking with many Mexican ska bands lately. We are hoping to take this song back to its homeland when we tour in June 2013.
